I arrived early, about 10:30am.
It was all a bit quiet
Even though I was early, the cattle judging had finished, and the sheep were nearly done.
So straight in to the Pavilion to be greeted by flora
and migitables
More to see, further inside
First, the Lego competition ...
Lego brick wall couldn't keep 'em out
Then on to the handcrafts
And the schools’ exhibits
The children’s baking comp
These ones didn’t rise to the occasion
Outside was a show that encouraged tiny tot dress-up and participation. Those poor kids look suspiciously older than tiny tot. How can parents do that?
Look Mum! No dignity!
Right next door was the Corporate Career training ground.
Only a few make it to the top
And behind that was a lesson in recycling. Who needs China when we have people who do this!
The guy on top of the portable (!) fish tank was trying to flog lures, but this oddball kept distracting half his audience!
Time for lunch. No bacon sangers this time, so next best thing, a monster “Turkish” roll with roast beef, yoghurt, and other stuff. Yummo!
The vehicles had started arriving for the bike and car Shine & Show comps.
Four vehicles. Three Holdens. The Ford won.
More buy-it-and-use-it-once stores
Then back through the sideshows, which had come alive after lunch and were shaping up for a vigorous afternoon and evening.
Anyone need some coins?
And that was that. Very worthwhile.
